Manufacturer's description
Bitume 160/220 per usi industriali is an industrial-grade bitumen produced by Eni. Its penetration and its chemistry are set to be compatible with polypropylene polymers, for the bitumen-polymer compounds that go into waterproofing membranes. Two penetration ranges are made, so that the binding properties can be matched to a winter or a summer formulation. It is also a good bituminous base for other industrial work: oxidised bitumen, pipe protection coatings, mastics, bituminous paints and special lubricants. For membranes made with styrene-butadiene-styrene polymers, Eni produces Bitume Stradale 170/210 instead.
Applications
- Bitumen 160/220 for industrial uses produced by Eni, thanks to its penetration data and the specific chemical characteristics, is designed to provide compatibility with polypropylene polymers for the formulation of bitumen - polymer compounds used in the production of waterproofing membranes and in other industrial uses.
