Shell Corena S4 R is an advanced synthetic air compressor oil that delivers maximum performance for rotary vane and screw air compressors. It uses an advanced additive system to deliver excellent protection and performance for compressors operating with maintenance intervals of 10,000 hours, or up to 12,000 hours under special conditions. Shell Corena S4 R is ideal for use in applications where synthetic bearing or circulating oils or R&O oils (ISO VG 32-68) are used.

This can be extended to 12,000 hours under special conditions. The advanced formulation of Shell Corena S4 R helps ensure an exceptional oil life through:
• Resists the formation of deposits on the rotating components of screw compressors and in vane slots, for continuous efficient operation.
• Very low levels of deposit formation, to maintain excellent cleanliness of internal component surfaces, particularly in oil/air separators.
• The precise oil maintenance interval will depend on the quality of the intake air, the duty cycle and the ambient conditions. For the hot, humid climates of the Asia-Pacific regions, an oil drain period of less than 10,000 hours is recommended (consult the OEM recommendations).
• Exceptional wear protectionShell Corena S4 R helps ensure exceptional protection of internal metal surfaces against corrosion and wear. It contains a well-designed anti-wear system to help extend the life of critical components such as bearings and gears.
• Maintaining system efficiencyShell Corena S4 R is designed to ensure rapid air release without excessive foaming, delivering trouble-free operation even under cyclic duty and ensuring the availability of compressed air at start-up and continuously thereafter. Shell Corena S4 R has low oil volatility, which reduces the number of oil top-up operations while improving air quality. In addition, Shell Corena S4 R has excellent water separation properties, to ensure the compressor continues to operate efficiently even in the presence of water.
