Divinol HE 32 / HE 46 is a biodegradable hydraulic oil based on synthetic, biologically degradable esters combined with powerful, eco-friendly additive packages. It offers excellent oxidation stability, corrosion protection, low-temperature properties and EP behaviour, and thanks to its high viscosity index it covers ISO VG classes 32 to 68 in one product. It is awarded the "Euromargerite" Ecolabel according to DE/027/109 and is listed by the distributor for DIN ISO 15380 (HEES) and VDMA 24568. The oil is designed for hydraulic units operating in varying climatic conditions wherever leakage could bring the oil into contact with soil or ground water. It is mainly used in agricultural and forestry machinery, construction and water-management equipment, and in vehicles working on landfill sites or ski slopes. Compared with products based on vegetable triglycerides, Divinol HE 46 shows significantly better high-temperature oxidation stability. When converting from mineral oil, the system should always be drained and rinsed thoroughly: residual mineral oil reduces biodegradability and, in higher quantities, can worsen foaming. Follow VDMA 24569 when changing to biodegradable hydraulic fluids, and change the oil according to thermal load and the equipment manufacturer's specifications.
The European Union's voluntary ecolabel, certifying that a product, including lubricants, meets reduced-environmental-impact criteria across its life cycle.
OECD 301B biodegradability above 60 %
A test result rather than a norm: OECD 301B measures the carbon dioxide evolved over 28 days. Above 60 % counts as "readily biodegradable", the threshold the environmental labels require.
