PETRONAS Hidrobak 5 is a very low viscosity hydraulic and spindle oil, ISO VG 5, particularly suited to lubricate high-speed spindles and bearings. Viscosity grade selection should be made in inverse proportion to the peripheral speed of rotation, meaning higher-speed applications call for this lighter grade. The product meets ISO 3498/6743-2 FD, DIN 51524 Teil 2 HLP and DIN 51517 Teil 2 CL classifications. Typical properties include a density of 0.840-0.860 g/cm³ at 15°C, a viscosity of 4-5 cSt at 40°C, a flash point above 145°C and a viscosity index above 95.
