Manufacturer's description
eni GR VN is applied hot to the launching ways of ships, forming a surface layer that resists high pressures and over which the entire hull slides during launching. Once it has set completely, a layer of eni Grease CC 4 must be applied over it; that is what actually lubricates during the launch.
Applications
- Eni GR VN is a special yellow/light brown product, based on petroleum derivatives of waxy paraffinic type, suitable for the operations of hauling and launching of ships. Applied hot on the guides of the ship's slipways, create on the sliding surfaces a leveling layer resistant to high pressures, on which during the launching flows the support of the hull. Eni GR VN is used in combination with the Eni Grease CC 4 product which is entrusted the real lubrication functions in launching operations.
