Manufacturer's description

Eni Grease 33/FD is a grease for lubricating the wheel bearings of vehicles with disc brakes. Formulated with a mineral base oil and bentonite as the thickener, it has a smooth, homogeneous texture and a brown colour. Thanks to its extremely high dropping point it can be used at the high temperatures generated by the repeated, prolonged braking that occurs on disc-braked vehicles, even where the brakes are not cooled adequately. Eni Grease 33/FD keeps its characteristics unchanged even under prolonged high mechanical and thermal loads; it gives considerable anti-rust protection without attacking the more sensitive metals, protects against wear and has high resistance to oxidation.

Applications

  • Eni Grease 33/FD is a grease for the lubrication of wheel hub bearings with disc brakes. Formulated with mineral base and thickened with bentonite as solid lubricant, it has a smooth homogeneous appearance and brown in color. The high dropping point and temperature resistance, make it suitable to withstand the conditions that occur during the repeated and prolonged braking of vehicles equipped with disc brakes, even poorly cooled. Eni Grease 33/FD maintains its characteristics unaltered even after intense and prolonged mechanical and thermal stresses; exerts a considerable antirust power without being aggressive towards the metals, also most delicate; provides antiwear protection and have strong resistance to oxidation.

Performance & benefits

  • High anti-wear protection
  • Excellent resistance to oxidation. Hinders the grease alteration tendency, both during storage and during use
  • High adhesiveness to metal surfaces on which it is applied and resistance to impacts and vibrations
  • Water-repellent, it can be used in a wet environment and in the presence of water

Standards & approvals

  • ASTM D 4950 GA

    Wheel-bearing grease, category GA — ASTM D4950

Category GA of ASTM D4950: a wheel-bearing grease for mild service.

  • DIN 51825 K3N-10

    Lubricating grease K3N-10 — DIN 51825

A DIN 51825 grease designation: consistency, thickener/EP-additive letters and lowest service temperature are coded in "K3N-10" (P = EP additives, F = solid additives, HC = special base oil, the digit is the NLGI grade, the following letter the upper temperature range, the final figure the lower service-temperature limit).

  • ISO 12924 L-XADGA 3

    Grease classification L-XADGA 3 — ISO 12924

An ISO 12924 grease code: "X" marks a grease, the following letters give the lowest/highest service temperature, water resistance and EP performance, and the trailing figure is the NLGI consistency grade.
