The eni GREASE LP greases were formulated in particular for the steel industry and, more generally, for every application where the lubricating film has to adhere well and resist high temperatures and the action of water. They are intended specifically for lubricating rolling mill roll bearings and the bronze shoes of Mannesmann mills. Thanks to their special additive package, these greases can be used across many applications, and in that sense they can be classed as multipurpose. They can also be used for lubricating cylindrical roller bearings for rolling mills, heavily loaded gears, joints and the moving parts of rolling mills working across an extremely wide temperature range.

Applications

• Eni Grease LP 2 is a smooth-textured grease, black-coloured, formulated with mineral base oil and with lithium-calcium soap. The EP (Extreme Pressure) additive imparts particular anti-wear and anti-welding characteristics capable of resisting the maximum mechanical stresses that occur in components subjected to heavy loads with sliding couplings. It has strong adhesive and water repellent properties which make it particularly suitable for lubrication in environments where water is present. Eni Grease LP 2 has been specially formulated as 'multipurpose' grease to satisfy all those applications that require strong adhesiveness, resistance to high temperatures, to water washout, to loads and vibrations. Recommended for the steel industry, in particular for the lubrication of bearings in hot and cold train rolling mills, and in general for flat and rolling bearings, loaded gears, joints, ropes and chains operating in a wide temperature range and in severe environmental conditions.
