Manufacturer's description
Eni Grease PHT is a multipurpose mineral-based grease thickened with polyurea and containing an EP (extreme pressure) additive. The polyurea gives the grease a very high dropping point and makes it particularly suitable for prolonged use at high temperatures without hardening. Eni Grease PHT is recommended for lubricating plain and rolling bearings exposed to water washout, under severe working conditions and subject to heavy loads and impacts. It is therefore ideal in metallurgy, in centralised continuous casting and rolling mill plant, and in rotary kilns and machinery exposed to high temperatures in the ceramics, glass, paper and cement industries.
Applications
- Eni Grease PHT is a multipurpose grease, mineral based thickened with polyurea and with EP additive (extreme pressures). The presence of polyurea gives to the grease a very high dropping point and makes it particularly suitable for prolonged applications at high temperatures without hardening. Eni Grease PHT is recommended for the lubrication of flat and rolling bearings, exposed to water washout,in severe work conditions and subject to heavy loads and impacts. Therefore it is ideal for application in metallurgy, in centralized continuous casting and rolling mill plants, and in rotary kilns and machinery exposed to high temperatures in the ceramics, glass, paper and cement industries.
Performance & benefits
- Excellent oxidation and thermal stability allows prolonged relubrication intervals
- High water washout resistance
- High adhesion to the surfaces
- Good compatibility with plastics materials
Standards & approvals
ISO 12924 L-XBEHB 1,5
Grease classification L-XBEHB 1,5 — ISO 12924
An ISO 12924 grease code: "X" marks a grease, the following letters give the lowest/highest service temperature, water resistance and EP performance, and the trailing figure is the NLGI consistency grade.
DIN 51825 KP1,5P-20
Lubricating grease KP1,5P-20 — DIN 51825
A DIN 51825 grease designation: consistency, thickener/EP-additive letters and lowest service temperature are coded in "KP1,5P-20" (P = EP additives, F = solid additives, HC = special base oil, the digit is the NLGI grade, the following letter the upper temperature range, the final figure the lower service-temperature limit).
