PETRONAS Grease CaSX 2/290 is a calcium sulphonate complex grease recommended for industrial, marine and off-road applications, and for most heavy-duty bearing applications, including large plain and anti-friction bearings and other mechanisms requiring a high-temperature NLGI 2 grease, such as slides and cams. It is a multi-purpose grease that excels in marine applications, with a recommended operating temperature range of -30°C to +140°C (max +180°C). The grease combines excellent mechanical stability, low oil separation and a high dropping point above 309°C with strong water washout resistance, water spray-off resistance and rust protection, including a pass on the salt-water Emcor test. It also delivers good extreme-pressure protection, evidenced by a Four Ball EP weld point of 620 kgf, and passes the SKF R2F test at 140°C. Grease CaSX 2/290 meets DIN 51502 KP2N-30 and ISO 12924 L-XC(F)DIB2, with a worked penetration of 280 mm/10 and a base oil viscosity of 290 cSt at 40°C.
