PETRONAS Grease LiX EP 2/170 is recommended for use in all general-purpose automotive commercial transport vehicles and chassis applications. It is particularly suitable for lubricating roller and friction bearings under extreme-pressure load at high temperature, and is specifically recommended for wheel bearing and propeller shaft lubrication of commercial/utility vehicles and passenger cars, covering all application areas specified by OEMs such as MAN, MB and Volvo for this type of lithium complex grease. Other uses include industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. Its sticky, adhesive and cohesive formulation stays in applications for longer periods, giving excellent pumpability, enhanced worked stability, reduced bearing cage and roller wear, extreme corrosion protection and superb water resistance. The recommended operating temperature range is -25°C to +140°C, with a short-time admissible peak of +220°C. Grease LiX EP 2/170 meets Mercedes-Benz 265.1, Volvo Std 1277.2 (97720) and MAN 284 Li-H2, and has proven performance in Scania trucks. It has a worked penetration of 280 mm/10, a dropping point above 260°C and a base oil viscosity of 170 cSt at 40°C.

Applications

• It is particularly suitable for lubricating of roller and friction bearings under extreme pressure load at high temperature. It is specifically recommended for wheel bearing and prop shaft lubrication of commercial / utility vehicles and passenger motor cars. All application areas for lubrication as specified by the OEM’s such as MAN, MB and Volvo specification booklet for this type of lithium complex approved grease. Other areas for use include Industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. Its sticky formulation stays in applications for longer periods. Operating temperature range from -25°C to +140°C Short time admissible peak value +220°C, permanent temperatures over 150°C.
