Mobilube GX 80W-90 is a high-performance, heavy-duty gear lubricant formulated from high-quality base oils and an advanced additive system. It is engineered for automotive heavy-duty transmissions, axles and final drives where protection against wear and scoring is required, and is recommended by ExxonMobil for applications where API GL-4 service is called for. Its application range spans heavy-duty manual transmissions, axles and final drives at GL-4 level performance across passenger cars, on-highway light- and heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles, off-highway construction, mining, quarrying and agricultural equipment, and other industrial and automotive uses including hypoid gears under moderate-to-severe conditions. Key benefits include good thermal stability and resistance to high-temperature oxidation for extended gear, bearing and seal life, excellent rust and corrosion protection, good low-temperature lubrication for easier start-up, and compatibility with typical seals and gaskets to minimise leakage.
