Manufacturer's description
High-performance manual transmission and gearbox oil for MAN, ZF and other OEMs. Shell Spirax S3 G 80W is a long-life gearbox oil designed to deliver new benefits based on improved performance levels, to meet the future requirements of gearboxes. The specially optimised mineral base oils and the new additive technology improve driveline lubrication and can extend oil drain intervals. High-performance manual transmission and gearbox oil for MAN and other OEMs. No longer suitable for Mercedes-Benz applications.

- Extended oil drain capabilityLarger additive reserves provide long-term gear protection. Long oil life results from high oxidation stability, which also leads to improved oil drain intervals.
- Long gear service lifeThe improved anti-wear properties prevent premature component failure, thereby extending service life. High oxidation resistance prevents deposit formation in gears.
- High efficiencyThe shear stability of the oil film, together with improved low-temperature flow properties, gives gears increased operating efficiency. The friction-optimising properties minimise power loss and wear, improving efficiency.
- Lower environmental pollutionReduced environmental damage and improved recyclability result from the significantly lower chlorine content. The oil's improved compatibility with seals prevents oil leakage past the seals, thereby reducing environmental pollution.
