Somentor A Series (AH 45, AH 70 and AL 70) from ExxonMobil are premium quality, fully compounded rolling oils formulated with high quality base stocks and specially selected roll oil additives for the cold rolling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including high carbon, austenitic and ferritic stainless steel as well as copper and copper alloys. The series suits all mill configurations, from 4-hi through to 20-hi multi-roll mills, and can also lubricate back-up bearings in multi-hi mills. It is compatible with filter systems using active and/or inactive earth filter media, and the lower-viscosity AH 45 grade can be used in rolling mill hydraulic systems, depending on pump suitability for low-viscosity oils. Key benefits include a bright surface finish on rolled metal, clean evaporation during annealing that avoids residues and deposits, easy filtration for extended oil life, and suitability across a wide range of metals. AH 45's low viscosity also improves cooling efficiency and can be blended with AH 70 and AL 70 to cost-effectively adjust viscosity.

Somentor A series products are suitable for the lubrication of back up bearings in multi-hi mills. Can be used in applications where filter systems employ active and/or inactive earth filter media. Somentor A series grades are suitable for use in rolling mill hydraulic systems to reduce contamination effects, depending on pump suitability for low viscosity oils.
