Manufacturer's description
Prowax 750 is a mid-to-high range melting point product in the Prowax line of petroleum slack and scale waxes. It is a translucent crystalline material in the solid state and an amber-to-brown, clear liquid when molten, derived from petroleum via a carefully controlled refining process. Prowax 750 is comprised of a mixture of straight-chain normal paraffin and branched iso-paraffin hydrocarbons, and is produced and controlled according to the ExxonMobil Product Quality Management System, EN ISO 9000 or equivalent standard. Typical applications, subject to applicable laws and regulations in each jurisdiction, include wax emulsions, wax isomerisation feedstock and wax blends. Typical properties include a congealing point of 58.0-68.0°C (ASTM D938), kinematic viscosity of 7.0-9.0 mm²/s at 100°C, oil content up to 35.0 wt% (ASTM D3235), and a flash point (Cleveland Open Cup, ASTM D92) of at least 220°C.
