Manufacturer's description
Mobil SHC Aware Grease Series are high performance synthetic greases from ExxonMobil designed specifically for environmentally sensitive applications, meeting the U.S. EPA 2013 Vessel General Permit (VGP) and EU Ecolabel requirements. They are readily biodegradable and virtually non-toxic, formulated from biodegradable saturated ester base oils with a lithium/calcium soap thickener, and do not emulsify, giving excellent water wash and salt water corrosion resistance. The series, available in NLGI 0 (EP 0) and NLGI 2 (EP 2) grades, is intended for rudder stocks, ATB notch interfaces, cranes, deck winches, general grease points, wire rope and open gears, over a recommended working temperature range of -25°C to +125°C. Benefits include ready biodegradability and non-toxicity that reduce the impact and cost of potential environmental contamination, excellent adhesion and water resistance that resist washout and reduce re-greasing frequency, and excellent rust and corrosion protection, including good bearing protection in wet conditions.
