Advanced biodegradable and HEES type synthetic hydraulic fluid. Readily biodegradable with low ecotoxicity, particularly suited for use in environmentally sensitive areas where eco-label compliance is required including US waters. Fully synthetic esters, blended with ashless additives, provide this fluid with an excellent blend of lubrication performance and environmental acceptability.
Biodegradable hydraulic fluid HEES — ISO 15380
The international standard for biodegradable hydraulic fluids; class HEES is the synthetic ester type, the most used where a leak would reach water or soil.
USDA BioPreferred program
US federal program promoting the use of biobased products (including lubricants) through preferred federal purchasing and a certification label.Source
The European Union's voluntary ecolabel, certifying that a product, including lubricants, meets reduced-environmental-impact criteria across its life cycle.
SS 15 54 34 — environmental requirements for hydraulic fluids (Sweden)
The Swedish standard requiring high biodegradability, low aquatic toxicity, and that the finished fluid not be classified as environmentally hazardous. It is required near groundwater and drinking water sources; verified products appear on the "SP list".
OECD 301B biodegradability above 60 %
A test result rather than a norm: OECD 301B measures the carbon dioxide evolved over 28 days. Above 60 % counts as "readily biodegradable", the threshold the environmental labels require.
Hydraulic oil, type H HM — ISO 11158
The international standard for mineral hydraulic fluids; class HM is the antiwear oil, the ISO counterpart of DIN 51524-2 HLP.
