Manufacturer's description
PETRONAS Hydrocer 68 belongs to the PETRONAS Hydrocer Series of anti-wear hydraulic fluids, recommended for various mobile and industrial hydraulic systems operating under normal to moderately stressed conditions, and for hydraulic systems demanding anti-wear fluids. It may conditionally also be used in circulation, splash, bath and ring oiling systems feeding lubricant to gears and bearings, though the local Technical Service Team and/or OEM manual should always be consulted before application; for high performance anti-wear needs, the PETRONAS Hydraulic Series is recommended instead. Formulated at ISO VG 68, it provides reliable anti-wear protection, good water separability, low foaming and effective rust and corrosion protection, meeting a minimum FZG load stage of 10 and a TOST oxidation life of 1,950 hours against a minimum requirement of 1,000 hours. Grade 68 has a kinematic viscosity of 68 cSt at 40°C and 8.6 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 97, a flash point of 230°C and a pour point of -12°C. PETRONAS Hydrocer Series meets DIN 51524 Part II HLP and ISO 11158 HM.
