Manufacturer's description

Eni Grease MU EP 0 is a high performance yellow-brown lithium grease, homogeneous and salve-like. Its EP additives form a lubricating layer that resists heavy mechanical stress and shock loads. It is recommended for lubricating rolling bearings and other machine parts subject to high temperatures and mechanical loads: enclosed gears, geared motors, centralised lubrication systems on vehicles and agricultural machinery, couplings and the like, wherever lubricating conditions are difficult. Eni Grease MU EP 0 is recommended across many sectors: metallurgy, mining, construction, paper and glass.

Applications

  • Eni Grease MU EP 0 is a yellow-brown high performance grease, lithium based, homogeneous smooth-textured in appearance. The EP (Extreme Pressure) additive allows the formation of a lubricating film capable to resist to mechanical stresses and/or strong impulsive loads. Eni Grease MU EP 0 is used in a wide range of applications such as: iron and steel industry, mining, construction, paper and glass industries. Indicated for the lubrication of flat and rolling bearings, also loaded and/or operating at high temperature; Gears in crankcases and gearmotors, centralized lubrication systems for vehicles and agricultural machines and couplings where there particularly difficult starting lubrication conditions.

Performance & benefits

  • High dropping point allows its use in a wide temperature range
  • Good water repellency characteristics, suitable in damp environments and in the presence of water
  • High anti-rust protection
  • Good metal surfaces adhesiveness
  • Good vibrations resistance
  • High oxidation resistance

Standards & approvals

  • ISO 12924 L-XBCHB 0

    Grease classification L-XBCHB 0 — ISO 12924

An ISO 12924 grease code: "X" marks a grease, the following letters give the lowest/highest service temperature, water resistance and EP performance, and the trailing figure is the NLGI consistency grade.

  • ISO 6743-6 L-CKG 0

    Open-gear grease, class CKG 0 — ISO 6743-6

Class CKG of ISO 6743-6 (family C, gears): a semi-fluid to soft grease for open or slow-running gears, here at NLGI 0 consistency.

  • DIN 51825 KP0K-20

    Lubricating grease KP0K-20 — DIN 51825

A DIN 51825 grease designation: consistency, thickener/EP-additive letters and lowest service temperature are coded in "KP0K-20" (P = EP additives, F = solid additives, HC = special base oil, the digit is the NLGI grade, the following letter the upper temperature range, the final figure the lower service-temperature limit).

  • DIN 51826 GP0K-20

    Semi-fluid gear grease GP0K-20 — DIN 51826

A DIN 51826 semi-fluid gear grease designation "GP0K-20": additive letters, NLGI consistency and lower service-temperature limit, for enclosed gear units lubricated with a pumpable grease.
