Mobilube S 80W-90 is an extra high performance drivetrain lubricant, SAE 80W-90, engineered to lubricate state-of-the-art heavy duty manual transmission components in on-highway commercial vehicles and cars. It provides API GL-4/GL-5 level performance, delivering excellent shifting performance, good low temperature fluidity and high temperature viscosity retention. The formulation balances friction control, wear reduction, thermal and shear stability, rust and corrosion inhibition and seal protection to promote long gear and synchroniser life, smooth shift control and high load capability. Key benefits include outstanding load carrying, anti-wear and extreme pressure performance for long transmission life, excellent prevention of deposits and lacquer formation supporting extended drain intervals, protection from corrosion of copper alloys, effective thermal and oxidation resistance, excellent shear stability, and good low-temperature fluidity for easier, smoother shifting. Mobilube S 80W-90 is recommended for cars and on-highway light and heavy duty trucks, buses and vans, and for heavy duty automotive drivetrains requiring API GL-4/GL-5 level performance. It meets or exceeds API GL-5 and API MT-1, and carries a wide range of OEM approvals including MAN 341 Typ Z2 and 342 Typ M2, ZF TE-ML 02B, 05A, 07A, 12L, 12M, 16B, 19B and 21A, Scania STO 1:0 and 1:1G, and ISUZU axle and large manual transmission oil specifications.
