Mobil Delvac 1240 is a heavy-duty diesel engine oil formulated from high-performance base oils and a balanced additive system of ashless dispersants, metallic detergents and inhibitors that control oxidation, wear, corrosion and rust. It is used in a wide range of applications where an SAE 40 monograde lubricant is recommended, including 2-cycle diesel applications such as Detroit Diesel's Series 53, 71 and 92 two-cycle engines. ExxonMobil recommends the oil for diesel-powered equipment (including 2-cycle applications), on-highway light and heavy-duty trucking, and off-highway industries such as construction, mining, quarrying and agriculture.
