Mobilube HD-A Plus 80W-90 is a heavy-duty gear lubricant formulated from high-performance base oils and an advanced additive system. It is engineered for commercial transmissions, axles and final drives where extreme pressures and shock loading are expected, and is recommended by ExxonMobil for applications where API GL-5 service is required, allowing extended oil-drain intervals predominantly in Mercedes-Benz axles. It is intended for heavy-duty automotive manual transmissions, axles and final drives at GL-5 level performance, covering on-highway cars, light trucks and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, off-highway construction, mining, quarrying and agricultural equipment, plus other gearboxes, steering gears and variable gearboxes, and hypoid-gear applications under high-speed/shock-load, high-speed/low-torque or low-speed/high-torque conditions. Key benefits include enhanced protection against low-speed/high-torque wear and high-speed scoring especially in heavily loaded rear axles, effective rust and corrosion protection, multipurpose capability, compatibility with typical automotive seals and gaskets, and extended drain capability for increased productivity and reduced operating costs. Mobilube HD-A Plus 80W-90 is an SAE 80W-90 grade oil that meets or exceeds API GL-5, Scania STO 1:0 and ZF TE-ML 07A, with builder approvals including MAN 342 Typ M3, MB 235.23 and several ZF TE-ML specifications, plus DTFR 12B110.
