Mobil ATF 220 is a high-performance fluid for automatic transmissions in older vehicles specifying Dexron IID, and is also used as a hydraulic fluid in certain unique applications. It is formulated from high-quality conventional base oils combined with a special additive system including viscosity index improvers, antioxidants and defoamants, giving smooth and controlled friction and wear characteristics. It is recommended for automatic and manual transmissions in passenger cars and light trucks specifying Dexron IID-level performance, as well as the related power steering systems, and for some special hydraulic systems in farm equipment and other installations with similar fluid requirements — including off-highway transmissions, power steering and other hydraulic systems requiring a Dexron IID or Allison C-4 fluid, and industrial hydraulic systems and components. Users should always confirm against the manufacturer's requirements. Key benefits include good anti-wear properties for longer transmission life, excellent low-temperature fluidity for improved start-up and fast lubrication in cold conditions, and effective foam control combined with compatibility with common Type IID seal materials for smooth, lasting shift feel and reduced fluid loss. Applications

• Mobil ATF 220 is recommended for some automatic and manual transmissions in passenger cars and light trucks specifying Dexron IID level performance as well as the related power steering systems.
