PETRONAS Tutela ATF 500 HD is a high-quality automatic transmission fluid for buses, coaches and commercial vehicles, delivering total protection even in the most severe conditions for today's automatic transmissions over their standard service life. Its wide coverage of major manufacturer specifications, thanks to extensive bench and field testing, makes it suitable for use with virtually all heavy-duty automatic transmissions, and it is approved for Daimler, MAN, Voith, Volvo and ZF automatic transmissions. The fluid protects business profits and vehicle availability while reducing operating costs through longer transmission life, driven by enhanced anti-wear and gear protection under harsh conditions, enhanced thermal and oxidation stability at high temperature, and high shear stability for a constant film strength throughout the oil's service life. It also delivers an excellent driving experience through smooth, shudder-free shifting in normal and severe conditions, excellent low-temperature viscosity for improved cold-start lubrication and shifting comfort, and significantly reduced transmission noise. Tutela ATF 500 HD meets DEXRON-IIIH, Allison C-4 (TES-228) and Bosch TE-ML 09, and carries approvals including MAN 339 Type L1/Z1/V1, MB-Approval 236.93, Volvo 97340/97341, VOITH H55.6335.xx, ZF TE-ML 03D/04D/14A/17C/05L/09/21L, Allison TES-389B and IVECO 18-1807 Class AG3/III. Typical properties include a density of 0.860 g/cm³ at 15°C, a kinematic viscosity of 7.7 cSt at 100°C and 38 cSt at 40°C, a viscosity index of 177, a Brookfield viscosity of 18,000 cP at -40°C, a pour point of -45°C and a flash point of 214°C.
