Mobil Delvac Modern 5W-30 Advanced Protection V6 is an extra-high-performance, advanced synthetic-technology diesel engine oil engineered to provide outstanding protection and fuel-economy potential in modern, high-performance, low-emission engines used in severe on-highway applications. Its synthetic base oils give excellent low-temperature fluidity, high-temperature viscosity retention and volatility control while contributing to fuel-economy improvement, and its advanced additive system helps prolong the life and maintain the efficiency of emission-reduction systems such as the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), now widely used to meet emission regulations on modern trucks and buses. ExxonMobil recommends it for the latest generation of MAN trucks and buses requiring MAN M 3677-approved lubricants, for commercial vehicle and bus engines without particulate filters in regions using ultra-low-sulphur fuel (where conventional SAPS oil per MAN M 3277/M 3275-1 is recommended), for on-highway light and heavy-duty trucking, and for modern heavy-duty engines fitted with DPF per the owner's manual. Key benefits include excellent protection against oil thickening, degradation, high-temperature deposits and sludge for long OEM-recommended drain intervals; advanced SAE 5W-30 viscometrics with stay-in-grade shear stability that can help reduce fuel consumption versus higher-viscosity oils without compromising durability; and very low volatility that controls viscosity breakdown and oil consumption under heavy-duty, high-temperature conditions. The product carries a MAN M 3677 approval and meets or exceeds Scania LDF-4. It is an SAE 5W-30 grade with TBN 14.1 mgKOH/g, Noack volatility 11.4 mass%, viscosity 11.56 mm²/s at 100°C and pour point -42°C.
