Manufacturer's description

Divinol Multimax Synth 10W-40 is a USHPD high-performance engine oil based on synthesis technology, specially designed for the toughest operating conditions in commercial vehicles and suitable for Euro IV and Euro V engines. Its optimal low-temperature behaviour guarantees good cold-starting properties all year round and excellent lubrication, which reduces both cold-start wear and fuel consumption. High performance reserves allow the oil to be used in engines with prolonged oil-change intervals under difficult operating conditions. This premium-class, smooth-running oil is intended for diesel engines in commercial vehicles with or without particulate filter and is particularly suited to EURO 4 and EURO 5 engines. It must not be used in petrol engines. Divinol Multimax Synth 10W-40 meets API CI-4 and ACEA E7/E4 and holds the manufacturer approvals MAN 3277, MB-Approval 228.5, Volvo VDS III, Renault Truck RLD-2 and MACK EO-N. It also fulfils the performance requirements of Scania LDF-2, Caterpillar ECF-1A/ECF 2, Iveco 18-1804 T2 E7, MTU Type 3 and Deutz DQC IV-10.

Applications

  • Divinol Multimax Synth 10W-40 is a premium-class USHPD smooth-running engine oil for use in diesel engines of commercial vehicles with or without particle filter. Divinol Multimax Synth 10W-40 is especially designed for EURO 4 and EURO 5 engines.

Performance & benefits

  • USHPD high performance engine oil based on synthesis technology which is especially designed for hardest operating conditions in commercial vehicles (suitable for Euro IV / V). The optimal low temperature behaviour guarantees good cold starting properties all over the year and excellent lubrication. This benefit reduces cold start wear as well fuel consumption. High power reserves allow usage in engines with prolonged oil-change intervals under difficult operating condtions. May not be used in gasoline engines

Standards & approvals

  • Diesel engine oil, API CI-4 performance level

  • MAN M 3277 — extended-drain engine oil

MAN's specification for synthetic extended-drain truck engine oils, in engines without a particulate filter.

  • Mercedes-Benz high-TBN truck diesel engine oil

A Mercedes-Benz approval for diesel engines without exhaust aftertreatment, carrying a higher alkaline reserve (TBN) than the 228.3 level. Daimler Truck now issues the same requirement as DTFR 15B120.

  • Volvo's engine oil specification for Euro III–V trucks without a particulate filter, with severe soot control requirements for EGR engines.

  • Renault Trucks RLD-2 — heavy-duty diesel engine oil

Renault Trucks' specification for extended-drain truck engine oils at the ACEA E7 level, without a low-ash requirement.

  • Mack EO-N

Mack EO-N — truck engine oil (superseded)

A Mack engine oil specification preceding EO-N+ and Mack EO-O Premium Plus in Mack's own specification progression.Source

  • Scania LDF-2 — long-drain diesel engine oil (superseded)

Scania's long-drain-field-tested engine oil category preceding LDF-3; superseded by later, lower-ash LDF generations.Source

  • Cat ECF-1a

    Caterpillar ECF-1a

Caterpillar's first Engine Crankcase Fluid category, for CAT diesel engines without advanced aftertreatment. Superseded by ECF-2 and ECF-3.

  • Cat ECF-2

    Caterpillar ECF-2

Caterpillar's engine crankcase fluid category for CAT diesel engines with tighter deposit and wear control requirements than ECF-1a.

  • IVECO 18-1804 Class T2 E7 — heavy-duty engine oil

    IVECO's heavy-duty engine oil standard 18-1804, class T2 E7.Source

  • MTU's highest oil quality category: multigrade oils for the most severe MTU engine duty.

  • Deutz's highest oil quality class, 2010 issue, in its low-ash form: a fully synthetic oil for extended drain intervals.
