Manufacturer's description

Divinol Multimax Plus 10W-40 is an MHPD (Maximum High Performance Diesel) engine oil based on synthesis technology, with excellent cold-start performance that prevents engine wear. It is specially formulated for EURO V and EURO VI diesel engines with low sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur content, and is designed for the toughest service conditions in commercial vehicles equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or SCR catalytic converter, running on diesel with a sulphur content below 50 ppm. This premium-class, smooth-running oil is intended for diesel engines in commercial vehicles with and without supercharging, and is particularly recommended for fleets such as those of forwarding companies and municipal vehicle pools. Prolonged oil-change intervals are possible when the manufacturer's instructions are followed. It is also suitable for diesel CNG/LNG engines (not for LPG/CNG petrol engines) according to the manufacturer's instructions, and must not be used in spark-ignition engines. Divinol Multimax Plus 10W-40 meets API CI-4, ACEA E7/E6 and JASO DH-2 and holds the manufacturer approvals MAN 3477, MAN 3271-1, MB-Approval 228.51, Volvo VDS III, Renault RLD 2, MACK EO-N and Deutz DQC III-10-LA. It also fulfils the performance requirements of Renault Truck RXD, Caterpillar ECF-1A/ECF 2, MB 235.27/228.31, Scania LDF-LA, DAF HP 2/LA, Cummins CES 20076/20077 and MTU Type 3.1.

Applications

  • Divinol Multimax Plus 10W-40 is a premium-class smooth-running engine oil for application in diesel engines of commercial vehicles with and without supercharging. This product is especially recommended for commercial vehicles e. g. of forwarding agents and municipal car pools. Divinol Multimax Plus 10W-40 must not be used in spark-ignition engines!

Performance & benefits

  • Divinol Multimax Plus 10W-40 is a MHPD (Maximum High Performance Diesel) diesel engine oil based on synthesis technology with an excellent cold-start performance which prevents engine wear. Especially formulated for EURO V and EURO VI diesel engines with low sulphate ash, phosphor and sulphur content. Designed and adjusted to the hardest service conditions in the field of commercial vehicles equipped with diesel particle filter (DPF) or catalytic converter (SCR) and use of diesel oil with low sulphur content < 50 ppm. Prolonged oil-change intervals are possible if manufacturers instructions are kept. Also suitable for diesel CNG/ LNG motors (not for LPG/CNG) acccording to the manufacturer´s instructions!

Standards & approvals

  • Diesel engine oil, API CI-4 performance level

API's service category for compression-ignition engines. Current category.Source

  • ACEA E7

    ACEA E7 oil sequence

    ACEA's sequence for heavy-duty diesel engines.Source

  • ACEA E6

    ACEA E6 oil sequence

ACEA's sequence for heavy-duty diesel engines with full exhaust aftertreatment. A low-SAPS level, ash capped to protect the particulate filter, at extended drain intervals. One of ACEA's current sequences.Source

  • JASO DH-2

JASO DH-2 — diesel engine oil

The Japanese standard for heavy-duty diesel engine oils in DPF-equipped engines, with sulphated ash capped so the filter does not clog.

  • MAN M 3477 — low-SAPS extended-drain oil

MAN's specification for synthetic low-SAPS extended-drain oils in Euro IV–VI engines with a particulate filter.

  • MAN M 3271-1 — gas engine oil

MAN's specification for stationary gas engine oils, with controlled ash to protect valves and spark plugs.

  • Mercedes-Benz low-SAPS truck diesel engine oil, Euro VI

A low-SAPS Mercedes-Benz approval for high-performance diesel engines with aftertreatment, with severe piston-cleanliness and wear-protection requirements at the usual Euro VI level. Daimler Truck now issues the same requirement as DTFR 15C110.

  • Volvo's engine oil specification for Euro III–V trucks without a particulate filter, with severe soot control requirements for EGR engines.

  • Renault Trucks RLD-2 — heavy-duty diesel engine oil

Renault Trucks' specification for extended-drain truck engine oils at the ACEA E7 level, without a low-ash requirement.

  • Mack EO-N

Mack EO-N — truck engine oil (superseded)

A Mack engine oil specification preceding EO-N+ and Mack EO-O Premium Plus in Mack's own specification progression.Source

  • Deutz DQC III-10 LA (low ash)

Deutz class III with the LA — low ash — marking, for engines fitted with a particulate filter or SCR catalyst.

  • Renault Trucks RXD — truck engine oil

A Renault Trucks heavy-duty diesel engine oil specification in the RD/RLD family.Source

  • Cat ECF-1a

    Caterpillar ECF-1a

Caterpillar's first Engine Crankcase Fluid category, for CAT diesel engines without advanced aftertreatment. Superseded by ECF-2 and ECF-3.

  • Cat ECF-2

    Caterpillar ECF-2

Caterpillar's engine crankcase fluid category for CAT diesel engines with tighter deposit and wear control requirements than ECF-1a.

  • Mercedes-Benz manual gearbox oil

A Mercedes-Benz manual-gearbox oil approval in the 235 series, often quoted together with the engine-oil approval 228.31.Source

  • Mercedes-Benz low-SAPS truck diesel engine oil

A low-ash Mercedes-Benz approval for diesel engines fitted with exhaust aftertreatment. Daimler Truck now issues the same requirement as DTFR 15C100; the two designations cover the same oil.

  • Scania's engine oil specification with tighter oxidation requirements than LDF-3, for still longer drain intervals.

  • Cummins' oil specification for engines with cooled exhaust gas recirculation, with increased soot control requirements.

  • Cummins' oil specification for EGR diesel engines with a particulate filter, with capped ash to protect the DPF.

  • MTU Oil Category 3.1 (low SAPS)

MTU's highest category in its low-SAPS form: a multigrade oil with under 1 % ash, approved only where the fuel carries less than 50 mg/kg sulphur. For engines with exhaust aftertreatment.

  • Scania LDF-2 — long-drain diesel engine oil (superseded)

Scania's long-drain-field-tested engine oil category preceding LDF-3; superseded by later, lower-ash LDF generations.Source
