PETRONAS Syntium 800 10W-40 is a semi-synthetic engine oil recommended for use in all types of passenger cars and the latest high-performance models fitted with fuel injection, multi-valves, turbochargers or superchargers operating under the most extreme conditions. Its features and benefits include outstanding high-temperature oxidation control that delivers lubrication stability and prevents breakdowns, superior deposit control for engine protection and excellent performance under severe and demanding driving conditions, excellent high-shear stability for stable stay-in-grade viscosity in all conditions, and instant start-up lubrication that minimizes friction and wear at start-up. The oil meets or exceeds API SN/CF and ACEA A3/B3 requirements, and carries MB approval 229.1 and VW 501.01/505.00 approval. Typical physical characteristics include a density of 0.875 g/cm³ at 15°C, a viscosity of 14.2 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 150, a flash point above 200°C, a TBN of 10.0 mgKOH/g and a pour point below -30°C.
