Manufacturer's description
Fully synthetic engine oil – formulated to engine manufacturers' requirements. Intended for the requirements of manufacturers of high-performance engines, including Ford, Jaguar and Mazda, and the ACEA C1 requirements.
Applications
- Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF-L for diesel engines is approved as meeting the Ford in-house technical requirements for engines to specification WSS-M2C934-B.
- Meets the Jaguar and Land Rover technical requirements for engine oil to specification STJLR.03.5005
Performance & benefits
- Fuel-efficient: passes the ACEA fuel-economy test M111FE (CEC-L-54-96), with a minimum 3% improvement.
- Engine wear and durability: passes the Ford production valve-wear tests and the TU3M (CEC-L-038-A-94) and OM646 (CEC-L-99-08) valve/camshaft wear tests.
- Cleans the engine: passes the TU5JP-L4 (CEC-L-88-T-02) piston-ring sticking and lacquering test, the ASTM Sequence VG test (ASTM D6593), the MB M111 black-sludge test and the VW 1.9 TDI (CEC-L-078-99) ring-sticking test.
- Ash control: passes the DV4TD dispersancy test at medium temperature.
