• Fuel efficiency: passes the ACEA-MB M111FE test (CEC-L-54-T-96), with a minimum 2.5% improvement (average of three tests).
• Volkswagen-specific tests: passes the VW PV 1449 (T4) test for viscosity increase and piston deposits, the VW PV 1452 (TDI) tests for ring-sticking and piston cleanliness, and the VW seal-compatibility tests.
• Engine wear and durability: passes the Peugeot TU3M valve and camshaft wear tests (CEC-L-38-A-94) and the OM646LA tests (CEC-L-099-08) for bore and cylinder wear, piston cleanliness and engine residue.
• Engine cleanliness: passes the Peugeot TU5JP-L4 high-temperature deposit tests (CEC-L-88-T-02), the VW TDI piston-cleanliness test (CEC-L-78-T-99), the ASTM Sequence VG engine-residue test (ASTM D6593), and the MB M111 engine-residue test.
• Ash control: passes the DV4TD oil dispersion at medium temperature test (CEC-L-093-04).
