BMW issues the Longlife approvals for engine oils – for example Longlife-01 for petrol engines, Longlife-04 for engines with particulate filters, Longlife-12 FE and 17 FE+ for low-viscosity oils. An approved oil appears on BMW’s list, which also covers MINI.
