The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association publishes the European engine-oil sequences: A/B for passenger cars, C for engines with exhaust aftertreatment and E for heavy-duty diesel engines. Each sequence sets the engine and laboratory tests an oil must pass; together they replaced the older CCMC norms.
